Answer the following questions in no less than 300 words but no greater than 1000 words put together...
Character's background (their past and present):
Character's personality:
Piper was once referred to as Switzerland. She tries to be neutral. She tries to make everything better. Her neutrality may be a manifestation of her feelings of inferiority toward Prue and Phoebe. Her confidence in herself grew late in life, and coincided with her powers as a witch. As a child and a teenager, Piper felt ordinary and unnoticed. She was even too scared to leave home for college, so she studied locally. She didn’t even study what she wanted to, culinary arts, and took a job as an accountant at a bank to pay the bills. It took the confidence of her sisters for her to realize her dreams and open P3, a night club. Even still, P3 isn’t her dream, it’s her safety dream, as opening a restaurant was considered too risky.
Everything Piper does tends to be extreme. When the sisters get infected with the seven deadly sins, Piper gets gluttony--not only because she likes food, but because she always overdoes. She’s a workaholic, she never stops. If someone wants a sandwich, she’ll give them an entire platter.
When Prue dies, Piper steps up to be the older sister, and she doesn’t relish the role. Constantly putting herself up against her image of Prue, perfect in her mind, she falls short. Being a witch is also something she tends to be at odds with. She is usually one of the first to vote for giving up her powers if such a situation occurs. Piper’s wants and dreams involve a family and friends and children, and she feels that demons and warlocks attacking on a regular basis kind of interfere with her dreams for a normal life. Because of this, she overcompensates, either by trying to be SuperWitch or doing her damnedest to make her life follow the expected, normal route.
Despite her will and desire to fix problems(in order to make them go away), which stems from her insecurity as a person, she can be strong willed. Again, this is something she learns and grows into as the series progresses, but Piper falls between two extremes, constantly fighting her magical destiny and at the other times, completely embracing it. Whether she embraces who she is has a lot to do with the situation, her insecurity in herself and her sisters. She is often goaded and prodded into accepting her destiny for the good of her two other sisters, who often have no problem with it. At other times, she really feels like she’s done good, especially after a vanquishing a particularly nasty demon. When it really gets in her way is when her magical life interferes with her desire for a normal life--like wanting a baby, but afraid to have one for fear of it getting blown up by a demon.
Piper is very emotional, and this can cause problems not only with her personal life but her powers as well. Her emotions are tied to her powers, the stronger her feelings are, the more powerful she gets. However, her powers also become erratic when her emotions are strong as she lacks the control that comes with being calm.
Piper can come off as rather sarcastic. In fact, her sarcasm starts out as a shield to hide herself from the universe, and progresses as she gains confidence. She’s also a pessimist, a perfectionist, and more than a little neurotic. Her determination and stubbornness is good when vanquishing evil, but it can be a little more than annoying and slightly crazy after she tries to do something like bake tons of cookies in hopes of baking the perfect batch.
Character's skills/abilities/powers:
Molecular Immobilization
Molecular Combustion
Spells
Potions
Scrying
Pipers active powers stem from her ability to slow down or speed up molecules. In Molecular Immobilization, she slows down molecules to the point that they freeze or stop. Piper has learned to freeze or unfreeze portions of a persons body or just a person, instead of the whole room which is usually her default. She cannot freeze a location outside of the area she is in or needs direct line of sight. This power is triggered by fear. It is also the same ability her mother possessed.
For Molecular Combustion, she speeds them up to the point of combustion. This usually causes the target to explode. Piper channels both her abilities through her hands, and thus cannot use them if she can’t use her hands. This power is triggered by anger. As she can actually make people explode, I’m going to assume there will be some limitations on this.
At the moment her power of molecular immobilization and combustion are rather unstable. She recently acquired molecular combustion at the end of season 3 and she still can’t control it very well yet. Sometimes when she tries to freeze something, she blows it up and vice versa. Also, her aim is a bit off. As her powers are triggered by her emotions, when she gets emotional, she can freeze or blow things up by accident, at least until she learns better control.

She also has standard witch powers such as spells, potions, and scrying. She also can use the Power of Three, which at current is a weakness as none of her sisters are at Ten Forward. Due to Piper’s ability and passion as a chef, she is excellent at making potions. To scry she uses a map of the area and a crystal or pendant. She usually does this to pinpoint evil or scry for a witch or innocent in danger.
Power of Three: This power is inactive, as her sisters are not in Ten Forward. When it is active, it magnifies their magic. http://charmed.wikia.com/wiki/The_Power_of_Three
High Resistance to Magic: This is also inactive. Her high resistance to magic only comes into play when all three of the sisters are together, activating the Power of Three. This just keeps magical attacks that should be lethal from being lethal.

ten_fwd from another game? If you are, which game?: N/A
Why do you want to play this character in Ten Forward, and what do you plan to do with them?
Piper's a lot of fun to play. She's a mothering, sarcastic bitch with the powers to do almost anything and isn't afraid to use them. Like turning Borg into rats. She's unintentionally hysterical (in contrast to Tom who is completely intentionally hysterical). Since I'm taking her from a canon point where she is unable to control her abilities, I'd love for her to gain friendships and some help in that area. Her world and abilities are in such a contrast to the Star Trek universe that I'm curious how they would mesh, and how long it will be before she settles down and toes the line (never maybe?)
Writing Sample #1:
Piper lands in the hallway right outside Ten Forward. Okaaay, what the hell? What, was she kidnapped by the Demon of Bad Fanfiction? Why can't it ever be the demon of moisturising or something like that? She brought up her hands, hoping that the poor guy in the stupid looking jumpsuit wasn't going to blow up, and tried to freeze him.
And succeeded. Yay for not killing random people. Piper felt through the man's clothing. Apparently this guy didn't believe in pockets. No ID badge, license, credit card.
"You stay frozen." Piper pointed a finger at the frozen officer and rummaged through her purse, pulling out her cell phone. Punching in the manor’s phone number. And nothing happened. Of course.
“Naturally. I’m stuck in some hell hole with no cell service. LEO! Hey!” Piper starts screaming to the frozen room. “You get your whitelighter ass down here. Wherever here is.....what are you out of calling range or something?”
Piper sighed.
“Figures. What’s the use of being married to an angel if they DON’T COME WHEN YOU CALL!?” Piper screamed the last words at the ceiling.
